Swine Flu in San Luis

From World Witness missionary Scott Moore:
I’m sure you’ve all been hearing about the swine flu problem here in Mexico. Truth is, there is a BIG fright here about swine flu. San Luis is the second hardest hit area in Mexico after Mexico City. Schools are closed here. There are so far 23 deaths here in San Luis from swine flu. Buses are nearly empty here, the streets that are normally crowded with traffic are sparsely traveled, and you can’t buy surgical masks anywhere in the city. Also, in Mexico City today, the city government passed a new ordinance that closes ALL restaurants except for carry out service. They don’t want people congregating anywhere. We fear it will come next to San Luis. On Sunday, even here, the governor asked that churches remain closed. We heard that too late. If that ordinance continues here this week, Roca will cancel services Sunday, May 3.

Pray for our safety and that the problem will soon pass.
