Prayer Request
Sharon Smith requests prayer for one of her students at Ninety Six High School (SC).
“On June 24th, Katherine Mackin, a rising senior, will undergo the same sort of brain surgery that I had at MUSC in Charleston.  She would welcome your prayers for her and her family during this stressful time.
Your prayers helped me achieve a successful result and I am certain they would benefit Katherine as well.
Thank you.”

Returning to Rwanda
Erskine Seminary graduate Benjamin Mushuhki will return to Rwanda this weekend, after several weeks of speaking engagements in area churches. But before he leaves, he will speak one last time on Sunday, June 28, during the Sunday school hour at Neely’s Creek ARP Church in Rock Hill, SC.
The 28-year-old survived the 1994 Rwandan genocide by hiding among dead bodies until he reached the border of Uganda. He eventually returned to Rwanda to become a teacher. His mother and sister are his only surviving relatives.
Hundreds of thousands of children became orphaned as a result of the genocide. Mushuhki has vowed to help these children by raising tuition fees for them to attend schools, and by placing some in foster homes. Pray for his REACH Rwanda ministry and for safe travel as he flies home on Sunday. Read this remarkable young man’s story in a subsequent issue of The Associate Reformed Presbyterian.
