Huntersville NC – Sympathy is expressed to Rev. Earl Linderman and his family. His mother, Mrs. Amaryllis “Amy” Vaughn Linderman, 92, of Huntersville, NC, died June 16, 2011, at Presbyterian Hospital. Born Dec. 27, 1918, in Duncan, SC, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Caldwell Vaughn and Alice Lancaster Vaughn. She graduated from Asheville Teacher’s College with a bachelor’s degree in education and received her master’s degree from Furman University.
She retired as an elementary school teacher and was a charter member of Meadow Lake Presbyterian Church. Funeral services were Saturday at the church, with Rev. Fred Lowrance officiating. Burial followed at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Mt Holly, NC.
She is survived by her sons – Earl Linderman and wife Harriet of Statesville; Roger Linderman and wife Emily of Denver NC. Grandchildren – Bill Linderman and wife Elizabeth; Carol Bennett and husband Marvin; Susan and Frank Linderman; Nancy Freeman and husband Bill. Great grandchildren – Kate and Sam Bennett; Billy and Emma Freeman. Nieces – Connie Dempsey and husband Jimmy; Becky Lollis and husband Doug; and nephew, Wayne Pearson and wife Betty.
