The Canadian Presbytery convened as a Court of the Church on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 during the General Synod of the ARPC at Bonclarken (Flat Rock, North Carolina).
The Vice-moderator Rev. John Shearouse (Covenant Reformed Presbyterian) moderated the meeting. Ten (10) presbyters were in attendance.
With Rev. David Els leaving for Australia next week, Rev. Kevin Carter (Covenanter’s ARP Church) was appointed to serve as the Interim Moderator of Trinity Presbyterian Church (Woodstock, NB).
The presbytery approved a request from Dr. Jack Whytock to transfer his ministerial credentials to the Presbytery of Prince Edward Island (Free Church of Scotland) pending their approval of a call to teach at the Dumisani Theological Institute (King William’s Town, South Africa).
The next meeting of the Canadian Presbytery is the 2012 Stated Fall Meeting scheduled for September 27-28, 2012 at Covenanters ARP Church, Kentville, NS.
