Ebenezer Presbyterian Church in Rock Hill, SC, hosted their bi- annual Women’s Ministries Retreat March 16-17 at Bethelwoods Conference Center in York, SC. The theme was “Beauty in Brokenness-Sharing Stories-Connecting Hearts-Yielding to His Hands.” The retreat began Friday with a pottery demonstration and devotion, followed by a craft project using broken pieces of glass to make beautiful mosaic saucers. Saturday morning, talented church members presented beautiful music that filled the rustic hall with praise. Next came testimonies of women sharing God’s faithfulness in repairing areas of their broken lives. Another moving part of the retreat was the cardboard testimonies. Women quietly walked to the front of the room holding card- board plaques with “broken” facts written on one side about their lives. The flip side stated how God used their brokenness for His glory. The theme verse for the retreat was, “Can I not do with you as this potter does?” declares the Lord. “ Like clay in the hand of the potter, so are you in my hand” (Jeremiah 18:2-6).
