The ARP Magazine’s New Assistant Editor
Missy Middleton grew up in Middle Tennessee and graduated from The University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She is married to Stephen Middleton, also a TN native and graduate of UTK. They have four children: Ely (16), Greg (14), Mark & David (9), and a cat named Jazz. Missy is a former English teacher and also fortunate to have been a stay-at-home mom for 16 years. During the preschool years, she was heavily involved in MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) Leadership, both in North America and Europe. During 2004—2006, Missy and her family were expatriates in Reutlingen, Germany, as her husband worked for BOSCH. It was during this time that twins Mark and David were born, and the family experienced a unique way of life, both as a young family of six and living life a broad. Missy enjoys sharing life experiences and has published three articles about mothering, family, and expatriate life. The Middleton Family moved to Greenville, SC, in 2010, where Missy continued her passion in the teaching field before joining the ARP Magazine. The family attends Grace Church and enjoys boating, hiking, traveling, tennis, and spending time together.
