A service of installation for Dr. Derek W.H. Thomas was held Sept. 8, 2013, at First Presbyterian Church, Columbia, SC. The special service was conducted by Catawba Presbytery. Guest minister, Rev. G. Mark Johnston, preached on “The Template of a Faithful Ministry.” Rev. Neal Mathias gave the welcome and the prayer of installation. Rev. Craig Wilkes gave the call to worship. Rev. Brandon Bar- rett gave the prayer of invocation, and Elder John Tyler read Old Testament Scripture. Elder Robert Woodard read New Testament Scripture, Rev. David Lauten gave the service of installa- tion, and Elder Randolph Folks gave the charge to the congregation. Dr. Thomas gave the benediction.
